A very warm welcome to my website which I hope will give you a taste of the jewellery which I design and create in my workshop in part of a converted barn on my West Cornwall smallholding.

The outbreak of COVID 19 has obviously had a huge and serious impact on peoples lives in general and I do hope that you and your loved ones are managing to navigate this crisis safely. The shutdown has had a serious impact on my business over these last few months as tourism here in Cornwall has been completely wiped out, galleries have shut and craft fairs have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. Whilst I continued to be able to supply via my website up until the end of June, I am pleased to see that things are now beginning to free up and that galleries have reopened to accommodate the visitors who are it seems flocking to our beautiful county once more.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to self isolate within the buildings and fields of my smallholding and to continue creating jewellery in my workshop and now that my bullion supplier and the Assay Office have resumed their services I can complete new items put on hold for what seems like an age!

I also have quite an extensive amount of completed stock either here at Belmont or at The Lane Gallery in Truro and will happily post items off should I have something you would like to order. Just drop me an enquiry by email or give me a call on my mobile.

After a busy and hectic Christmas period with sales to customers both new and old I had started back in my studio fulfilling orders for 2020 before the arrival of COVID 19. Given the dreadful weather we were experiencing here in Cornwall, and indeed across most of the UK, I was not pining to be outside too much! Obviously with self isolation, and the closure of galleries, together with the beautiful weather I have been sharing my time between workshop and outside projects. Once an all-clear has been given I am sure that I will return to normal business from ongoing gallery, studio and internet sales and attendance at various craft fairs around the county. Details of these will be listed below under EVENTS as I finalise my plans for the year.

If you navigate to the Gallery section of this website you'll see that I aim to showcase some of the items of silver jewellery which form the majority of my collection. As every item is unique and I am constantly redeveloping and tweaking my designs, there are always more examples than those I am able to post on this site. It is always worth contacting me direct, therefore, if there are other pieces you may have seen but which are not listed here.

The tactile as well as visual aspects of each piece of jewellery is important in all my designs where simple line and form combine with strong textures and highlights to produce items that are both striking and easy to wear.

The patterns and shapes of natural forms also have a strong influence on my work and I will often use particular animals and plants as inspiration especially for my etched items - peacocks, butterflies, sunflowers, trees, flowers & leaves to name but a few. Other obvious subjects for my work are inspired by the coastal and unique industrial landscape of Cornwall.

My on-going collection includes chunky organic and highly-tactile rings, earrings and bangles, hammered cuffs, pendants, delicate flower pin brooches and more quirky and unique acid-etched & oxidised items.

I work mainly in silver but often complement my designs with rose or yellow 9ct gold. Items are sent to the Birmingham Assay Office for hallmarking.

All jewellery is hand-made in my barn-studio set within a working smallholding where my husband and I currently raise  sheep. I am always happy to consider specific commissions where I am able to design and create a personal and individual item.

You will find a selection of my jewellery all year round in the galleries listed at the bottom of this page but I also attend several craft and design fairs and exhibitions throughout the year and aim to keep this website up to date with the latest information. At the moment my normal craft fairs have all been cancelled but I am hopeful that the Xmas ones will go ahead.

I also mail out detailed information on all my projected events twice a year to a database of previous clients and interested persons! If you would like to be included on my mailing list or would like more information on a specific event please contact me and leave me your details - full name and address or email is fine.

I will continue to update this website with my whereabouts as details of events are confirmed but in the meantime if you  would prefer to arrange a different time to come along to my workshop to discuss any specific requirement or you are unable to make any of the above times, please contact me direct.

Alternatively, following the re-launch of The Lane Gallery in Truro - a co-operative of 18 local craftspeople - you will find me taking my turn curating the gallery at least twice a month. If it is easier to meet me in Truro then contact me to ask when I will next be there.

To see and purchase pieces of my jewellery at other times, visit the beautiful Blue Bramble Gallery in Island Square, St Ives or the fabulous The Four Crows right on the harbour front in Porthleven. In addition there is once again a large display of my work at The Lane Gallery in Truro.
